Lanxess has rebranded its butyl rubber products
On May 20, the German company lansheng announced that it will rebrand its butyl rubber products. Its butyl rubber products adopt a new standardized name, and the new brand series is called X_Butyl.
It is understood that lansheng's existing butyl rubber products have been renamed, for example, the normal butyl rubber 301 is now renamed lansheng X_ButylRB301. Brominated butyl rubber 2030 is renamed lansheng X_ButylBB2030. Chloroprene rubber 1240 has been renamed lansheng X_ButylCB1240.

Lansheng X_ButylRB: normal butyl rubber is a copolymerization of isobutylene and a small amount of isoprene. It is characterized by high air tightness and heat resistance, weather resistance and ozone resistance. In addition, it has strong chemical resistance and excellent performance in energy absorption. Therefore, in addition to the application of the inner tube, longsheng butyl rubber is also used in lining and conveyor belts.
Longsheng X_ButylCB: this synthetic rubber is treated with X_Butyl chlorination, which can shorten vulcanization time and improve adhesion to other unsaturated polymers compared with normal butyl rubber. Vulcanized rubber and ozone resistance are better than normal butyl rubber products. The chlorinated butyl vulcanized rubber is more resistant to fatigue crack and has better compression.
Longsheng X_ButylBB: vulcanized rubber made from the lansheng brominated butyl rubber is very close to the products manufactured by lansheng chlorinated butyl rubber. However, its vulcanization process is even faster, and it can further enhance the adhesion to other unsaturated rubber.
