In recent years, our country and the rapid development of plastic products, has now entered the world in production of plastic products, and because of the relatively low prices, quality and technology mature, welcomed by foreign markets. The increase in China's rubber and plastic products growth rate was 10.1% in the january-december 2012 period.
Production. In 2012, the production of plastic products in China reached 57818 thousand tons, an increase of 8.99% from the same period last year. In December 2012, China produced 557.76 million tons of plastic products, down 0.16 percent year-on-year. From the output of provinces and cities, from January to December 2012, the output of plastic products in zhejiang province reached 94.85 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 13.02 percent, accounting for 16.41 percent of the total output of the country. Followed by guangdong, shandong and jiangsu provinces accounted for 15.90 per cent, 7.84 per cent and 6.04 per cent respectively.
Exports. In 2012, China's total exports of plastic products were 8513,000 tons, up by 7.1% compared with the same period in 2011. Exports totaled $315.7 billion, up 34.5% year on year.
As the food safety issue is getting more and more attention, the safety and hygiene requirements of plastic tableware in foreign countries are becoming more and more strict. Therefore, China's plastic tableware manufacturers should adopt positive countermeasures to steadily expand the export volume and market share of this kind of products in China.
